Now waiting to be officially re-sworn into the Legislative Assembly, the 42-year-old will be joined by 93 other successful members in Macquarie Street.
With up to a quarter of the seats in the lower house now held by non-major parties, Ms Cooke's re-election to the backbench represented one of the last remaining 'safe seats' for the Liberal-Nationals government.
In a statement on the weekend, Ms Cooke expressed assurance the changing landscape would not interfere with representing the Cootamundra electorate.
Speaking with The Junee Southern Cross ahead of the election, Ms Cooke was hesitant to describe herself as confident for re-election.

"All the commitments I made during the [2017] by-election I have been able to tick off, and more. I have been amazed at how many things we did in this time," she said.

"As hard as my job is now, I've always looked at my mum and dad and said, 'I could not do that'."

"There are people who aren't surprised this is where I've ended up, but my focus in high school was always on the next swim meet.
"Most of my summers were spent in the Temora pool, and it really taught me the importance of sport for kids. The time management, discipline, striving for a goal, and just resilience in life."
