The Junee Diesels committee are hopeful it will be a sea of new faces that awaits them at their annual general meeting.
To be held at the Ex-Servicemen’s Memorial Club from 6:30pm on October 31, attendees will elect the incoming office.
“We’re lacking a bit of help at the moment, so we’d like to have some new people on the team,” said president Simon Vanzanten.
The team begun the year strong with 30 members, but it has since fallen to a rotating roster of just seven.
Upgrades to the tune of $1.2 million are currently ongoing on the team’s home field, Laurie Daley Oval.
Due for completion by the season’s start, it has the committee crossing their fingers to generate anticipation.
“There’s a lot of exciting things going on with the club at the moment. It’s a good time to be a part of it.”
Ahead of the touch football competition in November, the club is also looking to introduce under 16s and 14s junior teams, as well as a team of mixed junior and adults.
