NEW CASES
* 2297 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19
* 46 per cent of new cases are aged under 30 years
* 63 per cent of new cases are aged under 40 years
* Within the new cases, there are 1245 newly impacted households
* 11 deaths were reported on Thursday:
- A man in his 50s from Moonee Valley
- A man in his 60s from Moreland
- A man in his 70s and another in his 60s from Melton
- Three men from Hume, in their 70s, 60s and 50s
- A man in his 70s from Shepparton
- Two women, aged in their 80s and 70s, from Knox
- A man in his 80s from Brimbank
* Death toll from the current outbreak: 125
* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:
- 650 cases in the south-eastern suburbs
- 633 cases in the western suburbs
- 693 cases in the northern suburbs
- 144 cases in the eastern suburbs
* 170 of news cases are in regional Victoria, including:
- 32 cases in Geelong
- 30 cases in Shepparton
- 23 cases in Mildura, Robinvale and Swan Hill
- 17 cases in Latrobe
- 17 cases in Baw Baw
* Total active cases: 20,505, including 1289 in regional Victoria
* 82,762 test results were processed on Wednesday
VACCINATIONS
* 97,617 vaccines administered in Victoria on Wednesday, including 37,611 at state-run hubs
* 87.1 per cent of the over-16 population has had a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 62.6 per cent have had a second dose.
HOSPITALISATIONS
* 706 people in hospital, 147 of whom are in intensive care, including 100 on a ventilator
* 98 per cent of people in ICU are not fully vaccinated
