All towns have their legends, local stories that you're never certain if they're true or not. Mudgee is no exception.
One legend that still echoes is that of Ian Marsh who was swept into a Mudgee gutter during a dangerous flood in 1959.
Thankfully in a moment of quick thinking he was saved by Con Matis, a Greek café owner.
Ian has often wished he could speak to Con's family to thank them.
Meanwhile Con's son Geoff has always wondered about the boy his father saved.
After 60 years, they finally got the chance to meet on the podcast.
