It is alleged in January 2021, the two women approached a doctor to conduct a female circumcision on the two-week-old female baby. The doctor refused and the procedure did not occur.
The women, aged 23 and 50, both from a suburb within the Cannington Police District, have each been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence.
They are due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on Friday, March 12.
