The Junee community had the opportunity to pay their respects to fallen Australian soldiers in a more traditional way yesterday morning, with the Remembrance Day ceremony held at the cenotaph on Broadway.

A crowd of about 50 gathered at 10.45am on the warm Wednesday morning ahead of the traditional 11am ceremony, with chairs spread around the cenotaph to keep attendees socially distanced.
Squadron Leader Peter Hogarth, the Junee RSL sub-branch president, led the service and Squadron Leader chaplain David Hilliard led prayers and gave the main address.
A small delegation of students from Junee Public School, Junee North Public School and St Joseph's Primary School attended to lay wreaths and represent their fellow students who could not attend to maintain social distancing at the event.
