$2,594,539 has been allocated to road projects in Junee with the aim of fast-tracking road repairs and boosting the local economy.
The Junee Shire Council submitted a list of 'shovel ready' projects to be included, with 40.5 kilometres of local primer sealed roads set to receive final sealing and centre line-marking with the funding.
Junee Mayor Neil Smith said the council was grateful for the extra funding.
"Junee Shire prides itself on the condition of its roads," Cr Smith said.
"This funding is an essential part of facilitating the safety of motorists, local or passing through, and the wider freight and farming community."
