A JUNEE woman has died and a man injured after a single-vehicle crash in the Riverina yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Pattersons Road about 12 kilometres south of Junee at Harefield after a Hilux utility left the road, hitting a tree about 4.45pm.
A NSW police spokesperson said the 37-year-old woman died at the scene while the 23-year-old man was taken to Wagga Base Hospital with suspected chest and arm injuries.

The spokesperson said inquiries were continuing by officers attach to the crash investigation unit.

The fatal accidents comes as the second in a week along the same stretch of road.
On Sunday, May 24, a woman died after her car crashed into a tree on Pattersons Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene after witnesses, who were able to remove the driver from the vehicle before it caught fire, came across the crashed Audi.
However the woman behind the wheel, who police believe to be 25 years old, died at the scene.
