A group of about 20 Junee community members led a convoy of hay bales to a farm in Tumbarumba hit hard by fire at the weekend in a show of support and compassion.
Trailers, trucks and even a vintage Holden ute joined forces to make the delivery.
Twenty hay bales were delivered to a fire-affected farm on the back of a truck provided by Gasworks Motorsports, as well as a string of cars and utes lending their towing power. The farm was approximately 40km south of Tumbarumba, and welcomed the delivery with open arms and gratitude.
Hay was purchased by various community members and supporters from a small Junee farmer who discounted the cost, as well as an additional two bales supplied from Wantabadgery.
Organisers of they hay run, which took place on Saturday, February 22, said the delivery was a community effort.
