Griffith scored a win over Hay on Sunday, meaning Junee is next to take them on this weekend at the victor's home ground.
Junee captain Trent Charlton was expecting to face Griffith, who have won eight challenges this season.
The team held a shirt and cap handover event on Sunday, with past club members joining in to get the boys prepared for a tough competition.
Junee Ex-Services Club manager Jason Ferrario, who is sponsoring the Junee side, said the weekend saw a great show of support.
"There were about 30 people in attendance, including some former greats of Junee cricket," he said.
"As a town, it's great to see senior cricket back on the park after being in recess for so long."
Ferrario said the Ex-Services Club were "more than happy" to get on board alongside Junee Cooporative Company and Cooper Construction.
"It's a tough gig for the boys, whoever wins this means they'll hold the cup for the next year," Ferrario said.
"Trent Charlton has put in a lot of hard work though to reform the club and they've got a fantastic side."
The success of the rep side at the competition will be a contributing factor to the town's ongoing involvement in cricket, according to Charlton.
"It's hard because it's a one challenge date so it's not like a season or anything to get the momentum going again," he said.
"We did play for Junee in the Tumut competition last year but this year folded, so if we win this Hedditch Cup we'll hold the cup for a year and it will be played here next year then to bring a team back."
The team that has been selected for the cup is Trent Charlton, Nathan Charlton, Owen Gill, Mick Butler, Joe Crowder, Isaac Cooper, Chris Smith, Samuel Smith, Rhauri MacLeod, William McGrath and Ben Turner.
The match will be held on Saturday in Griffith.
Griffith scored a 63-run win over Hay in Griffith last weekend to keep hold of the cup.
