Junee Public School held their carnival on February 6, which sports coordinator Jack Cox said saw about 100 kids jump in the water.
"We had lots of participation this year, and a lot who were swimming in their first carnival which is always exciting," he said.
With rainy days hanging around, Cox said they got lucky with rain just missing them on the Thursday.
Harrison Fanning took out the Junior Boy Champion, while for the girls, Matilda Gill took the title.
The 11 Years Boys Champion was awarded to Jack Macaulay and 11 Years Girls Champion went to Talia-Rose Fanning.
For the Senior Boys and Girls Awards, Ethan Beck and Maggie McNamara took out the top spot respectively, with Levi Smith and Phoebe Beattie each receiving awards of encouragement for their efforts.
It wasn't all serious competition though, according to Cox.
"We were also able to have a few novelty races toward the end which are always a hit, and some of the more laid back relay races," he said.
Junee's St Joseph's Primary School also held their swimming carnival last week, on Friday, with a solid turnout and great results from all age champions.
Leading the carnival for junior champions were Blake and Anabel with Matilda close behind receiving the Sub Junior Girl award.
Oscar and Poppy landed the 11 Years Boy and Girl champions for their swimming efforts, and Senior Boy and Girl Champion awards went to Harrison and Jorja.
St Joseph's sports coordinator Kellie Salmon said it was a "very successful swimming carnival".
"As usual, the efforts of all of the children and their amazing behaviour made for a super smooth and enjoyable day," she said.
"It was wonderful to see so many children having a go at new events and getting into the spirit of the day."
Ms Salmon said the Goretti sports house "proved to be the strongest swimmers of the day," winning the house point competition with a total of 58 points. Savio house was close behind.
