And so does trainer-driver Bruce Harpley.
The six-year-old is one of two local hopes in the $14,790 feature on Sunday night.
He's finished third in the race for the past two seasons and Harpley with thrilled with how he finished off his race to come third in his heat to qualify last week.
From another second row draw he's looking for more of the same.
"He's run third the last two years so I don't see why he can't do it again," Harpley said.
Roll One Over hasn't won this season, with three minor placings from eight starts to date.
However the Junee horseman was impressed by the feel Roll One Over gave him when beaten 6.2 metres by Jimision in the slower of the two heats.
"I was real happy with his run," Harpley said.
"He probably felt as good in the heat as I've drove him.
"He was really keen, wanted to do it and hit the line hard.
"He broke 28 his last quarter after getting out late and is probably better off a more genuine pace.
"Certainly mentally and off the way he felt he is going into the race better than the last two years."
Harpley has never trained a winner of his hometown feature, just like his father Allan.
However he's far from confident a career goal can be kicked off his list on Saturday.
"We keep chasing it and I'm sure I've run more placings than anyone without training a winner," Harpley said.
"Dad never trained a win of the Junee Cup and I haven't trained one.
"With all the premierships Dad home and all the winners he had over his lifetime, nearly 1000 winners, it's a Harpley hoodoo not being able to win the Junee Cup.
"All it does it make us try harder."
Saul and Bayley Duck also qualified Rockita after she finished fourth in the same heat as Roll One Over.
The cup is the feature race of the Australia Day meeting.
Both stables are set for a busy weekend with Mister Donald and Procurement qualifying for the Menangle Country Series final.
Harpley has Slick Blaster in the Evolution Series final while Rubies For Tash also makes the trip.
After drawing wide, Harpley expects he'll have to settle at the back just like Slick Blaster did to win his heat.
"The way I am driving him at the moment he is better off hoping there is genuine speed in the race, similar to what Wagga was," Harpley said.
