White Christmas will play on Friday, December 20 after an idea by Junee man Ian Manwarring who hoped to bring the seniors of the community together.
Facilities and Community Development Manager for Junee Shire Council, Glenn Sheehan, said the idea was "commendable".
"It will give people a reason to come out to the theatre, ease loneliness and social isolation for some, and get others out of their hospital bed or their home to meet and enjoy a movie," he said.
Seniors from as far away as Temora, Coolamon and Cootamundra have been invited to the movie, as well as those in the general community who share a love of classic theatre.
Tickets will cost of $10 and include tea, coffee and light refreshments.
