Junee RSL Memorial Preschool will receive $291,600 funding under the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke visited the preschool on Wednesday last week to announce the funding boost.
Ms Cooke said the grant was an incredible win, not just for the potential students and staff of the preschool but also for the wider community.
"I'm extremely excited to be here today to celebrate this funding announcement with the people who have put in the effort to help get it across the line - the staff and broader Junee RSL Memorial Preschool community," she said.
"I know how much this means to the staff and parents of Junee and I'm so glad we have been able to secure the funding as part of the NSW Government's Start Strong Capital Works Grants program."
The funding will see the centre undergo structural expansion, meaning greater opportunities for both staff and students.
In other news:
Junee RSL Memorial Preschool Director Rebecca Hart said the funding has come at a great time for the community.
"The funding will allow us to put an extra room on the Preschool, which will be used to take more children," she said.
Ms Hart said the boost will provide a much needed solution to a growing problem.
"In Junee, there is a childcare shortage so this additional room means we will be able to offer more places to the community," she said.
"We are incredibly excited for this - particularly for it to be up and running, as we really want everyone to be able to access adequate child care."
Families with young children all across the state will now have improved access to early learning facilities with up to $8.3 million in grants awarded through the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program.
