The operation involved 22 cell searches at Junee, Cessnock, Parklea, Silverwater, Oberon and Goulburn.
In Goulburn, prescription drugs were allegedly found in kitchen equipment and three inmates allegedly possessed prescribed restricted substances.
Inquires are continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
The operation was conducted by the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor and Corrective Services NSW.
It was a one-day proactive operation targeting Finks OMCG members and associates at the six correctional centres to disrupt and suppress further criminal acts.
Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009 and conducts operations to prevent and disrupt conflicts, and dismantle any network engaged in serious organised criminal activity.
Anyone with information that may help the strike force is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
