Butcher's Steven Gentle said the opposition for the A Grade game had some talent, with experience beyond town level competitions.
"You have the current state league point guard in Chaz Bishop, Josh McPherson who plays for the Albury Border Bandits, then there's Josh's brother Cameron McPherson and older guys in the side who are all ex state league players like Shane Clear and Wade," he said.
"If we can get around 30 points close to them we'll be very happy."
While Gentle has played at a state level, the now 50-year-old said: "I'm not a 20-year-old running around anymore".
"It will be one of the highest standards of game we've seen in a while," he said.
To get into the finals, the Butchers ran away with a win over the Barbarians in a close match. In B Grade, the Hogs are gearing up to play the Gouttlongs, who only just snagged a win against a new Wagga side, the Palm and Pawn Tropics.
"The Tropics nearly beat them which would have been a massive surprise and upset given that most of the boys are rugby union players, so they've come from playing socially and getting beaten at the start to coming third and doing really well," Gentle said.
The grand final game will be at home for the Butchers on Saturday. "We hope to get a few kids down to get the support and cheer us on a bit, we'll need it because the Llamas are so well drilled and fast paced," Gentle said.
The new season will start back in February 2020.
"We've already got teams entering for the new unisex competition and also players entering for Under 18 teams as well," Gentle said.
"We're hoping to attract more females but overall it's looking really good for next season."
