The book, Heart of Gold, highlights the range of businesses, accommodation, attractions, activities, food and drink offerings to experience around Junee, Coolamon and Temora shires, centering around the bloom of canola in early spring.
Junee mayor Neil Smith launched the guide earlier this month alongside Member for Riverina Michael McCormack and Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke.
"It's such a great, high quality publication and we are all really proud of the result," Cr Smith said.
"The unique part of it, in terms of tourism promotion, is that it delves further into some of the characters we have around the region beyond just the services on offer, so it's a bit more quirky and interesting."
Cr Smith said he was confident the visitor guide would have the intended effect.
"I really am quite confident it will bring more people to the north side of Wagga and larger centres like Canberra," he said.
"It's enough to justify people coming and spending a few days."
In other news:
Mr McCormack urged everyone to buy a copy of the book and send it to a friend or family member who lives in a city.
"This magazine is a fantastic example of what can be done in regional Australia," he said.
"Wherever you go in the Canola Trail you've got friendly people and I often describe these places as big enough to get a good cup of coffee in, but small enough to care."
The Winning Trifecta - A Poem by Neil Smith
When neighbours work together they sometimes become mates.
When councils and their communities work together it's just great.
You've heard the age old adage, "we work better as a team",
Well what you see right here and now is that oft elusive dream.
The dream that neighbour councils could work together for one goal.
Well these three councils do it, and they do it heart and soul.
A few short years ago, we banded with the Lifestyle crew,
And here we are again tonight, another celebration "do".
There are many more examples of like-minded solidarity,
But time is short, we must move on, I'm simply the MC.
So give thanks for top shelf neighbours, think on how it really affects ya.
Back Junee, Coolamon and Temora - they're a dead set winning trifecta!
