Over the Saturday gone, an arena full of horses competed for a range of awards amid windy weather, and Show Society Ring Events coordinator Fleur Keast said it was an impressive result for the town.
"We were naturally down on numbers not only because of the bad weather conditions but also the fact we've been in such a bad run of drought all across the region," she said.
"We ended up having about 55 competitors and over 50 min horses so we were pretty happy with the numbers we got all things considered."
With what Ms Keast described as the "usual hacks and galloways", there was another event brought back for a second year that impressed the crowd.
"We had the No Mistakes Challenge back again this year which is basically a number of obstacles they have to get through as fast as they can and if they make a mistake, their time doesn't count," she said.
"John Day won that competition."
With a few familiar names reappearing over the course of the day, a number of other awards were handed out.
The Grand Champion Horse of the show was Berragoon Sugababe, owned by Anita Withers and ridden by Rod Bourlet.
Ms Keast said the same horse was also named as Supreme Champion Working Stock Horse.
"The Supreme Hunter was Bamborough Aviator owned by Lisa Parry and ridden by Andrew Thorek," she said.
Brigid Dunn rode her own horse for the event taking out Supreme Champion Pack of the show on Uhgotamyluckyday.
The competitions also saw juniors enter, with Lydia Hodge taking out the Ken Hodson Memorial Trophy for the 5th year in a row and making her the highest points scorer by a Junee Pony Club Member in the ring.
Ms Keast said it was a smooth day in the ring with a cooperative audience and competitors.
"We ran pretty well and tried to speed all the events up given the storms that were forecast," she said.
"We wanted to make sure everyone got a go before we got blown away and that was the case which was fantastic," she said.
