The artwork came off the back of a request from the Old Junee Hall Committee hoping to freshen up their community space.
Featuring golden canola fields, an old work shed and a train rolling through, the mural was unveiled on Friday, October 11, after what proved to be a difficult process.
Moving inmates off site to complete the work as well as interruptions to the actual hall and inmates being released meant four individuals worked on the art over time, using photographs of the area as inspiration.
One of the main artists still remains at the centre and he had the opportunity to meet with members of the Old Junee Hall Committee when they visited the correctional centre in November.
He said he was glad to see the finished product come together to well, and "very proud of being involved in this charity project".
