Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke announced the memorial would receive $3917 worth of funding to go towards the restoration, allowing it to continue to be a part of the community for centuries to come.
"The Illabo War Memorial tells the story of our local war history and is a tribute to all the local men and women who have served in conflicts for our country," Ms Cooke said.
"Everyone who lives in the area would have a fond memory of attending the local Anzac Day ceremony at the memorial, so this funding means future generations of children and families can have the same experience."
The Illabo War Memorial restoration is expected to be complete by the end of the year, meaning next year's Anzac Day ceremony will be able to occur with the updated memorial on show.
