As one of 19 regional schools to benefit, Junee Public's Principal Tracy Delaney said they were looking forward to the assistance.
"Lorne Street is a highly-used, major thoroughfare in our community and we are pleased to be working with Roads and Maritime Services in protecting our most vulnerable road users, our children," she said.
Ms Delaney said the addition was possible due to a change in requirements after a previous application failed.
"The government are expanding the program by making the eligibility criteria for school more flexible, delivering 300 more supervisors over the next four years," she said.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the boost was a vital part of keeping the community safe.
"Having the new school crossing supervisor there will give parents and students a great deal of reassurance when it comes to getting to school," Ms Cooke said.
