Crowned the best grade four pennant club in the state, it is the first time in the club's 86 years that they have held such a high honour.
Life member Harry Thompson, now 84, has been playing with the club for the past 61 years, and cannot recall a time when the town could lay hold to such bragging rights.
Made up entirely of volunteers, the competitors and their families sponsored their way to the finals which were held in Port Macquarie last week.
Arriving Friday, the teams played six games over four days.
"The teams played really well despite some tough conditions," said Kerrie Holmes, who had attended the finals to watch her husband, Martin, compete.
"Damp mornings and dry afternoons with that ocean breeze they couldn't really prepare for."
Round one saw the local men defeat Asquith 66 to 54.
They followed with an equally sound victory of 60 to 56 over Padstow.
A place in the quarter-finals was assured on Saturday when round three delivered a win of 65 to 44 against Pennant Hills.
Junee headed into the quarter-finals at the top of the leaderboard by 26 points.
Campbelltown City bowed to Junee for 61 to 49, placing the locals in good stead for the semi-finals against South West Rocks.
Proving their merit once again, Junee took the victory of 67 to 46 against South West Rocks, landing the team in their first-ever state pennant finals.
"This year was the first year of Bowls NSW new format of quarter-finals. The decision was made to give clubs a second chance if they lost one match in the sectional play. Leichhardt was second in section three and took advantage of the new format by defeating section four winners Warilla, then defeated Karuah in their semi-final," explained competitor Martin Holmes.
The final saw Junee thrash Leichardt with a "commanding" 21-to-one lead in the first five ends.
"Knowing that the opponents would fight back [we] had to keep the foot down, and not get too ahead of ourselves," Holmes said.
"Brett Fanning's team were the stars of the final winning their rink 32-11 which gave the other two teams some breathing space."
Finally, Junee took the victory with a resounding 68 to 54 shots.
This year was the third consecutive time the team has qualified for the finals. But this year saw greater success, after having to bow out in the second round last year.
It follows a winning season for the club on the local front, with a 64 to 46 shot victory over Lavington and a 67 to 48 win over Hay to claim the back-to-back Zone 8 Grade 4 titles.
