The nights started as a way for the farming men in the community to get together in a relaxed environment and catch up. It has become all the more important amidst the drought.
The mental health nights are held four times a year and the men bring own refreshments and pay a nominal fee to cover the barbecue.
The committee recently received funding through the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, Community Grants Program.
This funding meant that the July 5 night could be offered free of charge, allowing the men to invite Wantabadgery local and Riverina Bluebell representative, Chris Wilson, along to talk about mental health.
On the night, George Brabin, secretary and treasurer of Junee Reefs Hall presented Mr Wilson with a cheque for $350 being excess funds accumulated from previous mental health nights.
