A concerned citizen has stepped in after witnessing a male driver approach a child in Junee.

Between 6.45pm and 7.00pm on April 24, a child was walking on Railway Parade.
A police statement on social media stated when near the intersection of Harold Street, a vehicle approached the child.
"Some conversation took place between an occupant of the vehicle and the child," it read.
"No physical contact occurred between the occupant of the vehicle and the child, and the male did not exit his vehicle.
"A nearby witness known to the child, saw the incident and approached the child, and suggested to the driver of the vehicle that he leave the area."
The vehicle is described as a grey Nissan Navara with a canopy. The male is described as being in his late 40s with a beard.
