One Junee business stepped up to help brings smiles to those suffering by fundraising for the Humour Foundation's National Smile Day on Friday April 5.
The Commonwealth Bank's Junee branch put on a delicious spread of Easter-themed goodies, cakes and slices, and branch manager Tamara Prowse said the community came together to make a big difference.
"We ended up making $240 this year, where previously we barely even made $100 a lot of the time, and for a small town that's really great to see," she said.
"We were hoping to get over the $100 mark, which we absolutely smashed so we're really happy with it."
The Clown Doctors are a nation-wide charity service, visiting children's hospitals in particular, but also making appearances at other medical facilities and regional hospitals.
"We do see the Clown Doctors around the Riverina as well, so the commonwealth bank have been involved for a long time," Ms Prowse said.
According to Ms Prowse, it was no surprise that the people of Junee were so happy to get on board the great cause.
"Myself and another staff member walked up and down the street at morning tea time to get the other businesses involved too, and Junee is always such a great place to get that community support," she said.
This will not be the last time the business gets on board the fundraising either, and Ms Prowse encouraged others to join the fight.
"Every year when we have the staff and availability, we always get on board," she said.
