While candidates in the upcoming election claim they have seen no detailed report on the project, Ms Cooke has come forward to say design works are very much ongoing.

“Planning often happens in the background, but I want to reassure the community, freight industry and rail enthusiasts that this is more than on the agenda, it’s underway," she said.
In October 2017, a total $600,000 was provided to the planning and redesign of the now-defunct railway triangle.
Ms Cooke said the funds will go towards developing a business case for restoration.
A timeline is unclear, but once the re-design has been completed, Ms Cooke said a report detailing the cost trajectory will be released.
Meanwhile Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate Matthew Stadtmiller has continued his criticism of the project's handling.
"Planning is a good way to keep consultants in a job, but we need to see a report."
It follows Country Labor candidate Mark Douglass' online disapproval, in which he described the issue as a "broken promise".
