A Temora man has been fined $350 after he was found in possession of an alleged stolen bicycle.
Police approached the man on Wednesday while patrolling Loftus Street.
Inspector Gerard Horsley, acting OIC of Temora and Junee, said the result was an indication of police productivity around the Riverina.
"Criminal infringement notices provide police with another option to deal with criminal conduct," said Inspector Horsley.
"This option involves a streamlined process which means that officers will spend less time completing paperwork at the police station, allowing more time to be spent on the streets protecting the community.
"[The] scheme also allows police to accurately identify repeat offenders and to take appropriate action based upon that information."
