Our new school has been built and furnished using a collaborative approach. The learning spaces are state-of-the-art with open spaces to facilitate all different learning and teaching styles.
The new library is a gesture to our past as it is housed in the beautifully refurbished Parish Hall.
A statue of St Joseph, donated by the Moloney family has been moved from the old school, along with the original school bell, to enhance our connections to the past.
Families past and present have donated brick pavers that will form a walkway in honour of our St Joseph’s families.
The school is delighted to be able to provide such a prodigious, modern educational facility to the Junee community.
St Joseph's Junee has a long history of providing faith-based education in the town.
The Sisters of Mercy founded St Joseph’s school in 1889, maintaining a presence until the end of 1997.
As a Catholic school catering for boys and girls from kindergarten to year 6, it provides an environment that strives for excellence in the religious, academic, sporting and cultural areas of education.
The school aims to create a sense of belonging that will nurture children’s growth and help create a healthy self-esteem that is so necessary for learning.
