Senior Constable Mark Fitzgibbon, Acting-Sargent Tim Hall and Inspector Rob Vergano have each received nominations for the community policing award.
The awards recognise sizable contributions to community safety and ethos by officers in towns and cities around the Riverina, as nominated by members of the public.
With a particularly new team of officers joining the Junee station in the past six months, Inspector Vergano indicated that the nominations conclude the goal to become more community focused.
Meanwhile, Junee’s civilian police volunteer, Glen Fanning was listed under the volunteering in policing category.
Last year, Mr Fanning also took out the state’s top title for police volunteering, stealing the victory from the competition in Kings Cross and Tuggerah Lakes.
