“I’ve had about 30 or 40 years coaching experience, and I actually started out on soccer, so it’s nice to be back,” Hill said.
In the past week, Hill coached the NSW under indoor hockey team to victory in the Australian national title in Goulburn. It was his fourth national title win.
But after spending much of his career on hockey, Hill is taking it back to his first love.

“I started playing soccer when I was about four-years-old, and I’ve only fairly recently gotten involved with hockey because that’s what my kids were into.”
Hopes of returning as a player were unfortunately dashed last year, when urgent back surgery kept Hill confined to the sidelines.
“The Jags are in a rebuilding stage after losing a couple of their players, but I’m here to help build a good team [...] that the town can get behind and really be proud of.”
