A 25-year-old local man has been refused bail after police responded to an alleged domestic disturbance in Hammond Street this week.

At 10:30 on Monday night, emergency services were called to the Junee address.
A female at the home was conveyed by ambulance to Junee District Hospital.
It is understood she did not sustain serious injuries but will continue to undergo medical monitoring.
Local police arrested the man on site.
He was charged with contravene apprehended violence order, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Appeared before Wagga Local Court on Tuesday, he was formally bail refused to remain in custody until his next court hearing on June 6.
Junee’s Inspector Rob Vergano described the result as a “fantastic example of police work”.
“Police were proactive in responding to the situation, arriving in a very timely manner soon after the matter had been called in,” he said.
