Chris fell into accounting in 1977 after leaving the farm. While he is adamant accounting is not boring, Chris says his previous job in 2011 with the State Government was so tedious that he left after six months to start his journey with The GEO Group Australia (GEO).
Chris is a great advocate for a healthy lifestyle, riding his bike over the Junee hills daily to and from work. He enjoys life to the fullest with nothing but the best in food and beverages - although everything in moderation.
Chris enjoyed the lively culture of Melbourne (“the real capital of this country”) and supports Geelong in the Australian Football League. He also enjoys films, books, television and date nights with his wife Susan. His pet hates include mowing lawns and bad grammar.
Chris’s tenure with GEO is the shortest of the senior management team at Junee Correctional Centre.
In the six years he has been at the Centre, Chris has dedicated himself to providing new ideas and innovation in a sector that is constantly evolving.
His efforts across his large portfolio has allowed the Centre to develop best practice ideas and create new industry standards.
GEO is extremely honoured to have Chris on the team.
