THE senior summer six-a-side competition saw some great football with good results.
In the opening ladies’ match, newcomers the 49ers accounted for Scramblers 13-0 in a good game that saw lots of chances go begging and both sides not converting the chances offered.
The game saw lots of 49ers attack and with Kara Hancock leading the way with six goals, and Fiona Walker with three, while Julie Shepherd, Larissa Purnell and Ellie White all chimed in to add a goal each.
Scramblers worked hard and managed to get a lot of go-forward happening and will only improve their chances over the season. Best on the park was Kara Hancock, Lindsie Newham and Fiona Walker.
Topssip have started their season well with two-from-two and last week accounted for Blue Birds 3-0 in a very fast game that was end to end action for the entire match.
Goals to Abby Foley, Natasha Lamb and Claire Foley was the difference and while scoreless, Blue Birds pressed the Topssip defence and were creating plenty of chances.
Best on the park was Tootsie Lamb, Mae Harrison and Gabe Newman.
The men’s games saw The Wolf Pack continue on their winning way with a decisive 7-0 result over Egg Plants. The game was not as one sided as it would seem with the Egg Plants taking the game to the Pack and ensuring that they plenty of pressure to contend with.
There was plenty of good lead up work in attack and equally solid defending.
Sean Smith scored a brace while Lochie Philipse, Braiden Philipse, Hayden Boetcher, Rod Beddingfield and Ethan Sainsbury all scored goals.

Hell Raisers played Get Plastered in the final game of the night and scored a solid 8-2 win. The game was very fast and was end to end action all the way. Both teams played some good passing football and there was plenty of action on the ball.
Goals by Zac Billingham – a nice hat-trick, Jason Mutimer, Gav Richards, David Billigham, Chris Allen and Brad Price while Ben Cook scored for Get Plastered. Best on the park was Chris Allen and Will Magrath.
