Another great turnout for our monthly meeting with eight members attending and four apologies.
President Nicole thanked members for all the hard work fundraising this year, and for all the hours that we put in for the lead up to the show with our Kelly Shield entries with the war theme.
The Land Cookery day was held on November 28 at the Temora Ex-Services Club, with members also attending Hume Group council meeting as well on the day.
Thank you to all who contributed and to the generous community who supported our stall at the hospital fete held November 17, and the street stall van throughout 2018 with our baked goods.
Each year members put forward organisations they would like to acknowledge with financial support.
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community three organisations received a unanimous vote by all eight members present.
The recipients will be contacted by our secretary and invited to our January meeting to receive their cheques.
Each year the branch looks at ways on how we can fundraise so we can give back to the local community that supports us by attending events that we hold or by purchasing products when we have a stall at various events in the local community.
A community craft morning was held Saturday, December 1 at Junee Library. It’s was a Christmas theme and featured lots of cross-stitching.
As the year comes to an end, and the busy season starts, we look forward to seeing and participating in 2019 in what the community of Junee supports and the events that are held.
