
JUNEE Stallions were looking to continue their undefeated streak at the weekend versing Lippers from Tumut.
Stallions won the toss and elected to bat first at Loftus Oval. Stallions looked to get off to a cracking start before losing Isaac Cooper early. Stallions opener Trent Charlton kept going before he was caught for 20 sparking a massive collapse in the batting order. Junee lost consistent wickets before Nathan Charlton smashed a quick fired 19 before the remaining wickets fell seeing Junee crumble to all out for 69 runs.
Stallions needed to bowl and field well early to put pressure on the Lippers and struck in the first over through Trent Charlton. Will McGrath picked up a wicket in his first over also as the runs started to come for the Lippers. Junee couldn’t stop the leak trying to protect a small total. Lippers passing the Stallions’ total just five wickets down and handing the Stallions their first loss of the season.
Stallions travel to the defending premier’s home ground of Coolac this week.
