
The 130th Junee Show will be held on Saturday, October 27 with gates opening at 9am.
This year’s show will be officially opened at 2pm, by Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke, when the 2018 Junee Showgirl and the 200 Club winners will also be announced.
There will be lots of free family entertainment throughout the day.
The main pavilion is always a feature of the show and this year is no different. As part of the 130th anniversary celebrations, entry fees for the pavilion will be free to encourage as many people as possible to showcase their talents and skills by entering in as many sections as possible.
There will be lots of free family entertainment throughout the day, including the animal nursery, Murphy’s puppet shows, gumboot throwing competition, pet show, chainsaw wood carving demonstration by Timba Tumba Carving, Bonkers the clown and much more.
A new attraction for the show will be a sand sculpting demonstration by Sandology, the creation of artist Steve Machell.
Mr Machell is one of Australia’s leading sand sculptors and will be on hand to create a masterpiece sand sculpture for show patrons to admire. He will also conduct free workshops for kids throughout the day.

Another new attraction will be a pie-eating competition at 5pm, sponsored by the Junee Bakery. The winner will be the person who can eat a pie in the shortest time.
Musical entertainment will be provided in the afternoon with several performances by the Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band. The Junee Town Band will also perform at 4pm and duo Eklectic will entertain the crowd in the evening.
In the ring, a full horse event program will commence in the morning with harness racing and mini trots in the afternoon.
The Junee Motor Club will provide a great display of quality restored vehicles throughout the day.
As a celebration of the show’s 130th year, the day will conclude with a huge fireworks grand finale.
Over 20 members of the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW will be on hand to assist show members and volunteers with preparations for the event and activities on the day.
