THE 2018 Junee Show program will have something for everyone.
Whether you are young or old, the show will have events to engage and enthrall.
To be held on Saturday, October 27 at the Junee Showgrounds in Park Lane, the gates will be open from 9am until late.
Cost of entry is $10 for adults (with a $5 pensioner refund upon presentation of pension card at the show office) and $5 for children aged 15 years and under (pre-school children – free).
What’s on?
9am: Judging commences – Poultry and sheep. Junior judging competition. Ring events commence. Main pavilion opens to the public. Farm animal nursery display
10am: Ladies pavilion opens in Belling Hall. Entries taken for Junior Showgirl competition. Bonkers the Clown (throughout the day)
11am: Murphy’s Puppets show (free. Other performances throughout the day)
Noon: Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band
1pm: Junior Showgirl judging. Baby girl/boy, toddler girl/boy, Miss/Master Tiny Tot competitions (front of grandstand)
1.30pm: Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band. Pet show (front of grandstand)
2pm: Official opening of the show by Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke. RAS volunteer acknowledgement. 2018 Junee Showgirl announced. 200 Club raffle drawn
2.45pm: Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band
3.30pm: Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band
4pm: Junee Town Band. Trotting program commences, including mini trots.
5pm: Pie-eating competition. Live music by duo Eklectic (until 8pm)
5.30pm: Gumboot throwing competition (free entry)
6pm: Pavilion closed to the public. Bushman’s relay.
6.30pm: Main pavilion re-opened for collection of entries by exhibitors
8pm: Grand finale fireworks
