Country shows and rural communities have always been at the heart of every Sydney Royal Easter Show.
To repay the favour, the team at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) loves to travel to a variety of country shows as a reciprocal expression of support.
A coachload of RAS staff will this year be donating their time to lend a helping hand for the 130th annual Junee Show.
The RAS turnout for Junee Show follows similar support for Taree and Picton.
Showgoers will find RAS staff getting busy all day, from competition stewarding to running the barbecue.
General manager, Agriculture and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Murray Wilton has acknowledged the importance of the show’s “country cousins”;
“Without the support of our rural shows the Sydney Royal Easter Show would not be the icon that it is,” Mr Wilton said. “These shows rightly take a great deal of pride in their people, produce and animals and the ‘best of the best’ are celebrated at every Sydney Royal Easter Show.”
