Ward picked up the Darryl Nuttall Award for most outstanding player in the first grade Jaguars side during the club’s annual presentation night last Saturday off the back of a strong season up front for the wooden spooners.
Phoebe Quinn was the pick of the Leonard Cup ladies to clinch their most outstanding player award while Abby Foley was rewarded for another solid year in defence with the best and fairest gong.
Foley also collected the senior women’s attendance and attitude prize with Ethan Sainsbury taking home the men’s equivalent.
Jake Crowder was a surprise pick during the evening after claiming the men’s best and fairest award despite having only played 10 games this year.
Caleb Sainsubury, Angela Barclay, Shane Baldry, Laine Seary, Lochie Philipse, Kim Dunne and Nick Cook also received awards.
