Each year we have our annual conference to bring forward policy, new ideas and for members to catch up and engage with industry heads and politicians on a smaller scale.
This year saw our election for new board members which saw five changes to the out going board with a new president James Jackson from Guyra, vice president Chris Groves from Cowra, and Rebecca Reardon from Moree is the new treasurer.
Joining Chris as a new face on the board are Chris Kemp, David Mailler,Sal Russo and Tim Duddy, joined by existing board members Lisa Minogue and Paul Shoker.
It was evident delegates saw a need for stronger action from the association on issues such as the growth of membership, drought, kangaroos, RMS agricultural machinary and trucks concerns, inland rail, and Farmers projects.
The association is also looking for a new CEO with current CEO Matt Brand moving on later in the year.
