But the former Test prop admits his 250th game milestone for his beloved Cowboys will be overshadowed by the fanfare around teammate Johnathan Thurston's final home game.

And he wouldn't have it any other way.

Scott, 33, will become only the third player behind Thurston and Matt Bowen - and the first forward - to enter the Cowboys' 250-game club this week.

It is a remarkable achievement for a prop, let alone someone troubled by an ongoing neck complaint that forced him to miss last round's loss to Cronulla.

But one club player Scott has no problem with all the accolades going to his retiring co-captain Thurston in his Cowboys swansong.

"I would actually prefer it to be honest. I am quite happy to slip under the radar," Scott laughed.

"I don't ever want too much fuss about me. Personal milestones are great but it should be about the team and performing on the night.

"To have someone of JT's calibre at the club, we are extremely blessed.

"To celebrate his last home game where he has done so much and played such a big part for the club, I'm happy to support him on the night."

But Scott baulked when asked if the Cowboys would "do it for JT" on Friday night.

"It's been 'do it for JT' all year but it hasn't really worked for us," Scott said.

"I think we might have been caught up with it a bit.

"(But) everyone wants to send him out with a couple of wins and on a decent note."

Besides Thurston and Scott, North Queensland will also celebrate hooker Jake Granville's 100th game for the club in what looms as an emotional night for the Cowboys.

In his 15th season for North Queensland, Scott - off contract next year - may soon go through the same emotional journey Thurston has been on this year.

But the hulking prop said his main priority was nursing his neck through the season before what looms as a 2019 final hurrah.

"It (neck) is just wearing down a bit (but) it's pretty good this week," said Scott, who last played in North Queensland's round 22 win over Brisbane.

"We factored in a rest for me somewhere in the last six weeks (of the season).

"It wasn't really recovering after the Broncos game but I should be right to finish the last two off."
