Held at the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club on August 11, and attended by 110 people, the family bingo night managed to raise $830.
Activities on the night included the famed feat of strength.
“The kids sat on a sheet and their coaches had to pull them across the room,” said juniors coach Julie Shepherd.
“I couldn’t pull mine, they were too heavy.”
The enormous efforts are some commiseration for the rapidly approaching season’s end.
“Unfortunately, none of our teams made it into the finals this year, so our last games are coming up this week,” said Ms Shepherd.
“Both the seniors and the juniors did get close, but didn’t quite get to the finals.”
Another fundraising effort is scheduled for this coming weekend, to round out the year’s ongoing raffle.
Tickets for the October draw will be available behind the Junee Co-Op on Saturday August 25 and September 14 from 1:30 until 7pm.
The next Jaguars calendar event will be the junior presentation in September, and the senior presentation in October.
