With a final score of 17-3, the Giants walked away rightly proud of their efforts.
Kara and Jorja worked together brilliantly in defence and Jocie and Miah took control of the shooting end, putting up quality shots and doing an excellent job of holding their space for rebounds.
Zoe fired up as wing defence and played her best game this year, contesting the ball relentlessly and causing huge frustration to her opponent. She had a huge fall late in the game, but recovered bravely and was able to continue.
Lucy was another who played a brilliant defensive game, taking a number of intercepts cleanly and sending the ball back down our end with strong and accurate passes.
Poppy and Sophie shared the centre court, both moving well into space and being continually available for passes.
Poppy’s speed and fitness left her opponent behind, creating quality passing opportunities. Sophie worked hard to support her teammates all over the court, steadily moving into space and defending her player consistently.
Giants have now moved up to fourth on the ladder but face a very tough game against the unbeaten Marian Cheetahs next week.

JUNEE Jewels defeated Turvey Park 31-6. The Jewels bounced back with a dominant all-round performance, overwhelming our opponents early with excellent skills and outstanding effort in attack and defence.
The girls barely allowed a shot in the first half, thanks to a superb all around defensive effort, while our attack was in full flow, with the ball moving into shooting position time after time as our passing and movement clicked back into top gear.

DESPITE some very slippery conditions on Saturday, Storm B Grade used it to their advantage to beat CSU Bushsows. In constant rain for three quarters of a game, the girls adapted well to the weather.
Despite some missed catches of the slippery ball, Junee managed a number of turn overs, especially in the circle with the fantastic work of Sarah Stevens and Leigh Fitzgerald.
Jana Lawson also assisted with some tight defence on the wing which helped slow the Bushsows’ centre passes and Georgie Turner and Elise Drum ran constantly in wing attack and centre to provide short drives to the ball.
Against some tall defence, Madi Harpley and Jacinta Cooper made sure no passes were rushed into the circle and missed few goals to secure Storm's four-point victory at three quarter time when the game was called off due to weather.
Storm remain fourth on the ladder but hope to secure their place for the finals next week as they rematch Ag College.
