Bail checks also became a major feature of policing in the town over the past several weeks.
“Police proactivity is what keeps the community safe,” said Inspector Rob Vergano.
“In most situations we prefer to be proactive rather than reactive.”

A community barbecue was held on Wednesday August 8 at the Eurongilly Hall.
Police met with the public and council representatives to discuss rural safety as part of the ongoing focus on property and road crimes in the smaller towns.
Stolen car
Police are appealing for information following the theft of a blue Nissan Pathfinder with Queensland registration, on Monday night.
The car was parked outside a home on Hammond Street at 8:30pm on August 6, by 9:30 the next morning it was missing.
Officer injured
Just after 1pm on Friday August 3, police were called to a disturbance on Wardle Street.
In the course of a physical altercation, a police officer was bitten on the right hand.
The officer was taken to Junee District Hospital and has now returned to work.
The 26-year-old man was bail refused at Wagga Local Court on Saturday. He was later released on conditional bail on Monday.
Grass fire
Police and firefighters were called to a private property in Junee at 12:15 on Friday August 3.
Tradesmen attempted to set building waste alight but strong winds pushed the fire onto neighbouring grass.
It took 20 minutes to extinguish.
No injuries were sustained, no property was damaged and police are not expected to lay charges.
Next of kin program
Junee Police have joined the NSW next of kin program.
Residents are encouraged to fill out a confidential form that will provide police with contact details in case of an emergency.
It is also recommended that the details of a doctor and dentist be provided along with any medical alerts likely to be pertinent in an emergency.
The program is free with forms available at any local police office.
Once completed, the forms may be returned to the same office.
