New strategies to tackle rural crime will be the focus of an upcoming forum by Riverina Police District's Superintendent Bob Noble and his team.

The forum, which residents and landholders are also invited to, will begin at 5pm on Monday, September 10 at the Temora Ex-Services Club.
Superintendent Noble and his team also want to hear residents’ suggestions and concerns regarding the prevention and investigation of stock theft, illegal hunting, trespass and all other forms of rural-related crime.
There will also be informal discussions afterward with the hosts.
“It’s an opportunity for me to hear issues from residents,” Superintendent Noble said.
“We’re also keen to tell people that we’ve had enhancement to our abilities and resources.

“It’ll be mostly a listening and understanding session for me.”
Superintendent Noble said the session was not just for the Temora shire.
“We’re hoping to draw people in from the wider Riverina and Murrumbidgee police districts,” he said.
“People also don’t have to raise issues during the formal part of the program – they can also do so afterwards.”
Temora mayor Rick Firman and Member for Cootamundra Stephanie Cooke will also be in attendance.
