The Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory is in Wagga for the first week of school holidays, giving children the chance to make free chocolate freckles.
Every year in the July holidays the Sturt Mall welcomes the factory to lure more customers in.
One of the factory workers, Tegan Foley, said the children make their freckle, then go shopping allowing the chocolate to set and then come back to pick up their goods.
“It gives them an opportunity to come make a free freckle and see what we’re all about,” she said.
“Maybe if they like it, they can come over to us in Junee.”
The chocolate workshop also gives parents a little break.
Mother of two young boys, Patria Williams said her sons look forward to the chocolate workshop every year.
“It’s really good, it’s free and the kids look forward to seeing these sorts of things downtown,” she said.
“Being in Wagga, I can’t get out to Junee, so it’s nice to be able to have them here.”
The chocolate fun will continue until this Friday July 13, 10am to 4pm.
