
An afternoon drive has put the brakes on a young Riverina man’s weekend.
It comes after Junee police stopped a vehicle on Hammond Street at about 2.45pm on Friday.
Junee police inspector Rob Vergano said a search of the vehicle revealed a liquid substance, that was seized and sent for analysis.
When a 21-year-old passenger allegedly failed to comply with police, he was arrested and taken to Junee Police Station.
The young man was charged with failing to comply with police and resist arrest.
He was bailed to appear before Junee Local Court May 11.
The incident comes after a 39-year-old Junee man was apprehended at a De Salis Drive home in Junee on Thursday morning.
Inspector Vergano said the arrest was made in relation to an outstanding warrant.
