Residents have reported that their green waste bins in the lane between Regent and Gloucester streets have been neglected for a couple of weeks now.
Junee Shire Council general manager James Davis told council during Tuesday evening’s meeting that the contractor was still experiencing “occasional issues” in their attempt to restore regular collections.
“When we find out, we email the contractor – particularly if its a whole lane, and there’s two lanes in north Junee that haven’t been picked up,” Mr Davis said.
“Then we ask them to tell us once they have gone back and picked them up.”
One resident said that households had started taking their uncollected bins inside after cars started running into them in the back lane.
The Junee Southern Cross understands the recycling and regular waste bins in north Junee, however, have been collected.
