Junee North principal Kay Thurston said she and the whole school community were incredibly grateful for the kind donation.
“The Motor Club brought a couple of their old cars down to our school oval and chose to fundraise for the two public schools in Junee this year,” Ms Thurston said.
“The money they donated is going to be used to support our students in need with things like uniforms, food, any educational supplies they might need, and assistance with excursions.”
Motor Club treasurer Joan Longmore said the club raised the money through their annual Show and Shine.
“People brought their cars down – anything from hot rods to just normal cars – and they all go in different categories and are judged on things like best upholstery and best engines,” Ms Longmore said.
“We wanted to give the profits raised this year to the schools to help some of our underprivileged kids.”
