The mare is yet to finish worse than second in seven starts since joining Euroley trainer David Kennedy.
Five of those have been victories and she scored her biggest win yet with a bold front-running display in the delayed Junee feature.
The mare was among the favourites for the race in January before weather forced a postponement.
However the extra time did no harm to her chances.
Reinsman Blake Jones was impressed by how Rocking ($4.30 fav) kept fighting to the finish after burning out early to lead from barrier five.
“We hit the first corner probably as hard as I have hit the first corner here,” Jones said.
“We were going pretty hard into t and she did a good good as she had to gas again when the others come.
“They made her work again so it was a pretty good job to get gassed twice and still hold on.”
Jones believes her gate speed as helped since moving to NSW.
She held on to defeat Grinning Punter ($44.80) by 1.3 metres with Roll One Over ($5.40) a luckless third after failing to get a clear run as Bruce Harpley’s quest to win his hometown feature was extended for another year.
It was Kennedy’s third win in the race and second in three years after Sporty Spook (2016) and Goeslikell (2011) wins.
Jones also drove Rustys Reject to victory in 2014.
The win was another boost for local charity Good Talk.
Jones is wearing specially designed colours throughout March to raise awareness and funds for bi polar disorder.
Initially $500 would be donated by Jones and local business for each of his wins, but the figured has ballooned to $720 as more people have got on board.
Rocking’s owner John Davey also donated $300 of his winnings to the cause.
It coincided with the Run For 32 event on Saturday and Jones was pleased to add the cup to his tally for the month.
“We’ve got three (wins) now so its $2160 plus the owners have given my $300 and I’ve had a few other people just donate along the way,” he said.
“It has been good to get the name out there for them and help them along a little bit.”
Meanwhile Junee trainers had a night out on their home track.
While he missed out on the cup, Bruce Harpley still had three winners for the night.
Harps and Tiwanaku both won heats of the invitational drivers series, which was taken out by Leeton’s Bill Trembath, plus drove Cullens Lady to victory for Stan Hedlund.
Trevor White won the Phyllis Harpley Memorial with Ideal Fantasy, Bayley Duck scored his first race win and Steve Harris finished off the night with Msflibbertigibbert winning.
